We have three children in our family. Our first child was born in California, and we had a very nice experience from the day we met our doctor to the day I delivered the baby. Our second child was born in Madison. The experience was very different from the first. I was hoping to deliver the baby the natural way, and I pushed the baby for eight hours!

Finally the C-section doctor came in and said the baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice and shoulder once, and I would need to have an emergency C-section. Happily, despite the ordeal, my son and I are both doing fine.

When we found out that we are pregnant with our third child, a surprise baby, I was, unfortunately, filled more with dread than joy. I did not want to go through the same bad experience that I had to go through before. I worried for the baby and myself. When I talked to my doctor, she said that I could go to Meriter, where I may experience better service.

I registered with Meriter to have a scheduled C-section. I went in at 6:30 a.m. They took me in to the surgery room, and by 8:45 a.m., we welcomed our new baby girl, Sandali, to this world.

The service and care I received from Meriter was excellent. All the nurses were kind to me. All the doctors, technicians, and even the people who came to clean my room were nice to me. My husband and I really appreciate your service and our special thanks goes to a very special nurse, Laura Francis.
