2009 Heart Walk – A Success!
Thousands turned out for the Start! Heart Walk – an annual fundraising event for the American Heart Association.
On Saturday, October 10, braving blistery winds and the season’s first snowfall, supporters walked a 1.5 mile route to Create Hope, Inspire Change, and Celebrate Success about the awareness of heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.
As one of the event’s major sponsors, Meriter provided the Kids’ Get Healthy area that featured a bounce house, jump ropes and hula hoops. Hundreds of Meriter staff participated in the event, raising thousands of dollars.
Together, we took steps toward a heart-healthy community. Together, we made a difference. Meriter would like to thank all of the participants for making the 2009 Heart Walk a success!
