Celebrate Success at the 2009 Heart Walk

On Oct. 10, the American Heart Association will hold its annual Start! Heart Walk. This healthy, fun family event promotes physical activity as part of a heart-healthy lifestyle and raises funds for research and programs to fight heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases combined are our nation's No. 1 killer, claiming nearly 865,000 American lives a year - more than the next four leading causes of death combined.
To help those affected by heart disease, stroke or other cardiovascular diseases - and to help protect our loved ones - we all need to get involved. Take the first step to a heart-healthy community. Together we will make a difference!
