Statewide Perinatal Conference to be Held in September

Are You a Lawsuit Waiting to Happen? Teamwork and Communication Strategies to Reduce Risk in the Perinatal Setting
If you are a member of a perinatal health care team, plan to attend a statewide perinatal conference featuring keynote speaker Lisa Miller, CNM, JD, an internationally renowned legal expert in OB and fetal monitoring.
The conference will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009. The conference will focus on:
- Perinatal Teamwork
- Error Prevention
- Safety/Risk Legal Issues
- Nurse/Physician Clinical Disagreements
- Communication
The purpose of this conference is to provide information that will raise awareness of common errors within the perinatal setting. The conference will also provide communication and teamwork strategies that can be implemented to enhance a safer practice environment and reduce risk.
