The Meriter Medical Group is the employed multi-specialty physician group of Meriter Hospital. Currently the group consists of more than 50 providers with a focus on improving patient access and providing the best patient care possible. Meriter Medical Group seeks to be the destination of choice for patients, staff and physicians throughout Dane County and southern Wisconsin.

The Meriter Medical Group currently includes:

• Cardiothoracic Surgeons - Meriter's talents and experienced cardiothoracic surgeons serve the Meriter Heart & Vascular Hospital and offer patients the high level of care they have come to expect from this Center of Excellence.
   
• Hospitalists - Meriter's hospitalists specialize in the care of hospitalized patients, managing all aspects of the inpatient stay so patients have a smooth, quick recovery. They also work with primary care physicians, specialists and therapists to help coordinate the care of patients.
   
• Internists - Meriter's internal medicine physicians provide community-focused care at Meriter's two primary care medical clinics.
   
• Pediatricians - Meriter is building a team of pediatricians who will cover inpatient care at Meriter Hospital and others who will provide community outpatient care at our various Meriter Medical Clinic locations.
   
• Physiatrists - Meriter's physiatrists focus on restoring function for people with problems ranging from musculoskeletal disorders to stroke and brain injury.
   
• Addictionologists - Meriter's addiction medicine specialists work at Meriter NewStart, a comprehensive chemical dependency rehabilitation program.
