Our retail showroom, located at 2180 W. Beltline Hwy. in Madison, focuses on
mobility solutions for the home including wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, stair
lifts, patient lifts, lift chairs, and ramps. We also carry a full line of
compression stockings, back, knee and neck braces, and many other home safety
items. Our staff provides fitting services by appointment for mastectomy bras
and prostheses, corrective braces, lymphedema management and compression
treatment for vascular conditions.

Meriter HomeStretch offers comprehensive care from routine to complicated custom fittings. Our services help patients with physical limitations or medical conditions that require specific prosthetics or aids. Our staff performs a thorough evaluation of each patient's condition and needs, and our private consultation rooms ensure privacy.

Medical Equipment and Supplies
A complete line of home medical equipment and supplies, including standard
and customized wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, scooters, safety equipment,
and a full line of rehabilitation equipment are available through Meriter Home
Health. Staff includes specially trained rehabilitation technicians who perform
complete assessments, demonstrate equipment, and provide instruction on a web
range of equipment from pediatric to adult.
Respiratory Care
Respiratory care services include selection and set-up of prescribed
respiratory equipment at our location or in the patient's home. We provide
education and training to ensure the safe, proper, and continued use of
prescribed equipment. Home care services also include monitoring and assessment
designed to evaluate the effectiveness of all services provided.
Meriter Home Health offers many respiratory services, including:
- CPAP – Continuous positive airway pressure systems
- BiPAP – Bi-level positive airway pressure systems
- Home Ventilators – Life-support systems for patients who need assistance with breathing
- Oxygen Systems, portable and stationary – Highly advanced liquid and gas oxygen systems
- Nebulizer Treatment Systems, Aerosol, Aspirators, etc. – We supply many varieties of dependable respiratory care equipment
- Pulse Oximeters – Monitoring of patients performed by licensed therapists on doctor's orders
- Apnea Monitors and Related Systems – Monitors for infant care
- We also supply a variety of dependable respiratory care equipment
Meriter Home Health has a respiratory therapist on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
Meriter Home Health's nurses provide assistance to patients needing skilled or specialized nursing care for
wound care, including wound vac therapy, blood pressure and lung assessments,
injections and IV therapy. In addition to visits by our skilled nurses, we
utilitze Telehealth for our Medicare eligible patients with diabetes, heart
failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Our expertise has proven successful in
instructing patients and their caregivers on their disease in order to:
- Avoid complications
- Achieve optimal recovery and independence
- Reduce chances of being re-admitted to the hospital
Meriter Home Care Agency has a Registered Nurse on call 24 hours a day, 7
days a week.
Meriter Home Health's Physical Therapy program is directed by licensed Physical Therapists who are assisted by licensed Physical Therapist Assistants. Our program promotes independence and enhances patient's self-care skills.
Our staff plans and conducts home exercise/therapy programs to help patients function safely and independently in their homes. Standard therapies include:
- Improving circulation and range of motion
- Exercises
- Heat and cold applications

- Muscle strengthening
- Mobility and endurance training
- Electrical Trigger Point Stimulation

Meriter Home Health's Occupational Therapy Program is directed by a registered Occupational Therapist, who is assisted by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Our services help patients who have experienced a loss of functioning in daily activities.
Our program promotes independence and enhances patients' self-care skills through improvement of:
- Motor coordination
- Perceptual motor skills
- Visual and sensory skills

- Range of motion and strength
- Cognitive retention
- Use of adaptive equipment

Meriter Home Health's Speech Language services are provided by licensed Speech
Language Pathologists who are specially trained to help patients regain their
oral motor function and ability to communicate. These staff help patients:
- Adjust to a loss of hearing
- Work with voice problems
- Who have swallowing difficulties

- Understand oral and written language
- Improve memory and problem solving skills
|
Our staff devises a treatment plan for each patient based on a detailed evaluation. A supportive atmosphere helps to promote individual patient progress.
Meriter Home Health's licensed Clinical Social Workers assist patients in solving problems that may arise due to illness. Our staff works with the patient and/or caregiver to help patients in resolving:
- Social problems
- Financial problems
- Transportation problems

- Home assistance needs
- Housing and long-term care needs

Our staff can recommend many community services that are available to patients free of charge, at a nominal cost or through insurance coverage.
Meriter Home Health's Certified Nursing Assistants assist patients with daily activities and personal care. Our program provides services for patients that require assistance with activities of daily living in addition to skilled care. Services may include:
- Bathing and personal hygiene
- Improving a home's safety

- Assisting patients with learning how to regain independence

Our staff has a thorough knowledge of each patients' physical and/or mental limitations, so they can provide safe, personalized care. Our services are coordinated with the patient's physician, our nursing staff and family members who are involved with the patient's care.
Infusion therapy is available for patients who need to have physician-prescribed medication given through an intravenous, epidural or subcutaneous catheter. Our staff can begin and monitor many therapies, including:
- Antibiotics
- Chemotherapy
- Hydration
