Newborn Intensive Care

The birth of a child should be full of joy and excitement, but when infants are
born too soon, with life-threatening complications, the anticipation can quickly
become anxious worry.
A gift to Newborn Intensive Care at Meriter benefits the care of our
tiniest patients. This fund supports research and education projects, staff
training, and technology and equipment upgrades.
Meriter's outstanding care of infants and mothers has earned the respect and
confidence of our community. We deliver more babies than any other hospital in
south central Wisconsin, and are the second leading hospital for births in the
state. In 2007, Meriter's NICU provided care to more than 400 newborns and their
families.
